Alana Hoare
Alana is an assistant teaching professor in the School of Education at Thompson Rivers University whose academic interests focus on the role of cultures and epistemologies and their influence on educational systems. She has an Doctor of Education in educational leadership from Western University, where she explored culturally responsive governance and planning in higher education. Alana’s works focus on critical approaches to open education; agency, gender, and power in educational leadership and sport; and her research spans practice and policy. Previously, Alana taught elementary school and adult English language learners. She also spent nearly a decade as a quality assurance practitioner and maintains a research program in this field. Jeisil Aguilar Santos
Jeisil has a PhD in Philosophical Sciences, Diploma in Pedagogy, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociocultural Studies from the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Central University “Marta Abreu” of Las Villas. She is a Professor of Doctorate in Education, Universidad de la Empresa, Montevideo, Uruguay; Academic coordinator of the Master’s Degree in Digital Communication Management and the Diploma in Research Methodology. She is also a methodological tutor in the Master’s Degree in Education, Society and Politics Master’s Degree in Education, Innovation and Technology at FLACSO Uruguay; and a consultant at The Learning Bar, NB, Canada. She teaches classes on research methodology, discourse analysis, and norm and academic style.
